Office Manager/Secretary
Ann Haymond is the track and cross country Secretary and Office Manager. In addition to managing the office, she arranges the travel for all three seasons: cross country, indoor track and outdoor track.
Before coming to BYU, Ann was in charge of marketing and sales for the Best Western Cotton Tree Hotel in Provo. She handled three properties. Prior to CottonTree, she worked for the Utah County Convention and Visitors Bureau as an Administrative Assistant.
She is married to Jon Eric and they have 4 children. Jon Allan 21, married to Kelli and both are currently serving our country in the United State Army. Greer 20, serving a mission in the Phillipines. Bradon 14 and Brittney 13.

Administrative / Operations
Doug is administrative support assigned to track and cross country. His assignments include: home track and cross country meet management and web page support.
Doug graduated from BYU in 1983 with a degree in electrical engineering. As an athlete at BYU he was an 8 time All-American and the 1981 Indoor National Champion in the 2 mile. After college he was a 12 US national champion and a member of 2 Olympic teams. He set 7 American Records in distances from 3000 meters to 5000 meters, 2 of which still stand. He is the only person ever to run a mile in the state of Utah in less than 4 minutes.
He is married to the former Lynette Nielson of Golden, Colorado. They are the parents of 4 children: Janae, Javan, Kevin, and Michelle. |

Athletic Trainer, MS, ATC, RPT
Marv was born and raised in Long Beach, CA. He went to high school in Chickasha, Oklahoma where he starred in three sports: football, basketball and track. As a high school senior he was captain of both the football and basketball teams and a state champion in the shot put.
Marv was a member of the BYU track team in 1950-51 and from 1953 to 1956. He was team captain in 1956. He graduated from BYU with a dual degree in physical education and health. A recipient of one of five national physical therapy scholarships from the National Foundation, he went to Stanford University where he earned a physical therapy degree in 1958 and a Master of Science degree in 1963.
Marv was an assistant athletic trainer at Stanford University from 1958-62. From 1962 to 1966 he was Head Athletic Trainer at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, CA. He came to BYU in 1966 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer to Rod Kimball, the Head Trainer. He was promoted to BYU Head Athletic Trainer in 1975.
Marv retired from BYU in 1989 when he opened a private physical therapy clinic in Provo. He now helps out with the team as a physical therapist during his retirement years. |

Associate Director of Media Relations
A native of Castle Rock, Wash., Reynolds joined the BYU athletic department in 1999 as the Assistant Director of Athletic Media Relations. He directs the media relations efforts for football, men's volleyball and track and field.
Reynolds graduated from Utah State University in 1996 with a degree in journalism. He is currently working on a master's degree in public administration and has served as an adjunct faculty member at BYU for the past two years.
Prior to joining the BYU staff, Reynolds was the Assistant Commissioner at the Mid-Continent Conference, and has also worked at Western Kentucky University and the Sun Belt Conference.
Reynolds has been an active member of CoSIDA since 1995, serving on the Committee on Ethics, as well as the Publication's Committee. He is a member of the National Football Writers Association and has won numerous citations for his part in helping to produce the BYU football and men's volleyball media guides, in addition to being a member of the Track and Field Writers of America.
Reynolds is married to the former Char'Ree Brockbank. They have five children: Britneylee (11), Reece (6), Alexandria (4), and twins Claira and Evellyn (6 mo.)

Matt is a native of Orem, Utah, graduating from Orem High School in 2002. He was the school video "geek", serving as the A/V specialist both his junior and senior years.
He is a computer science major with a minor in broadcast journalism. His interest in computers began when he was very young. He built his first computer at the age of 15. He enjoys finding ways to use the computer to simplify tasks. He is an expert in most aspects of video production, having assisted his father, David, on the KBYU production set since he was 8 years old.
His assignment with the BYU Track team involves creating and maintaining video content for the coaches and athletes, and a redesign of BYUTrackc.om. He has ten years experience with web page design and structure.
He is married to Aimee Hymas of Thornton, Colorado. They have a son, Andrew, born in the summer of 2005. |
