The 2007 BYU Autumn Classic Cross Country Invitational promises to be a great event again!  It will be held at East Bay Golf Course in Provo, Utah, site of numerous Championship events, including the 2005 NCAA Mountain Region Cross Country Championships and the 2002 Mountain West Conference Cross Country Championships!

The collegiate races will feature the 4-time National Champion Brigham Young University Cougars.  They will face the University of Minnesota men and the Baylor University women, Utah Valley University and the University of Utah.

The top high school teams in the state have been invited to participate.  All high school races will be held on the same course as the collegiate women.

Frosh/Soph Races - The first races of the day will be the Frosh/Soph Boys 5K and Girls 5K.  There will be no team awards.  The top 10 individuals will be honored with awards.

Time Schedule

Awards - Individual awards will be given to the top 10 finishers in each of the 8 races.  Team awards will be presented to the top two teams in the Varsity races and the winning teams in the Collegiate and JV races.  There are no team awards in the Frosh/Soph races.

Timing - Timing and results by Rocky Mountain RunnerCard.  Each finisher will receive a personal RunnerCard at the end of the chute.  Results will be posted at the meet and web posted that same day.

Registration - Registration will be processed on the web.  Click on the Registration link below.  Universities should click on the Collegiate meet in the Collegiate Classification.  High Schools should click on the High School meet in the High School Classification.  Contact Doug at BYU for the Meet Access Code, 801-422-1295 office, 801-367-6578 cell or by email.

Cost - Cost for each high school team is $50 ($100 per school, if there are both a boys and a girls team), or $5 per athlete for incomplete teams.  This covers both Varsity and JV athletes.  Cost for each collegiate team is $50, or $100 per school.  Please make checks payable to BYU Track and mail to the BYU Track Office at: 54 SFH, Provo, Utah  84602.

Admission - Entrance to the Autumn Classic is $3 for adults, $2 for students with ID, and children 5 and under are free.  Any youth athlete age 14 and under that wears their track or cross country uniform is admitted free!

Warm-up - The course will not be available for preview until race morning.  The course will open for the athletes beginning at 6:00 am Saturday morning.
