We invite all elementary school youth to participate in the BYU Elementary School 1 Mile Races.  You do not have to be from Utah Valley or even the state of Utah to participate!  Each race is run on grass and finishes on the track.

Last year's races were a wonderful success with over 300 runners from 32 schools participating!  Noah Webster School won the team trophy!   Click on the Results links below to see the full results!

The campus cross country course for the kids races is a 1 mile course that includes the BYU Track and the warm-up field north of the track.  Races will start every 5 minutes on the grass to the east of the track.  Each runner represents their elementary school.  Elementary school teams that have at least 3 participants in that age and gender will be recognized if they place in the top three schools in each race.  To earn points toward the team scores in a race, a school must have at least 3 runners in that race.  Points are awarded to three schools in each race.  The first place school receives 5 points, the 2nd place school receives 3 points, and the 3rd place school receives 1 point.  The school with the most points after all of the races is crowned the Champion and receives stewardship of the Championship Trophy until the next year!

Results of the races from previous years are available on the RunnerCard site. 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, 20062005, 20042003, 2000, 1999.
